The engagement and approaching marriage of Amanda K. Sitzmann and Ross W. Small of Le Mars is announced by their parents, Barb and Jim Sitzmann Jr. of Le Mars, Kevin Small of Le Mars and Jan Plesher of Sioux City.

The couple will be married a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 2, 2006, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars. The reception will be held at the Le Mars Convention Center upper level, with a dance follow.

Amanda graduated from Gehlen Catholic High School in 1999 and is a 2000 graduate of Le Mars Beauty College. She is co-owner of Head to Toe Studio in Le Mars.

Ross graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 2002, and is a 2005 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College. He is employed at DeJager Plumbing & Heating in Le Mars.
