Maria Ann Wiederholt and Matthew Thomas Echaniz were married in a 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, with the Rev. Timothy Johnson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of LeAnn and Michael Wiederholt of Remsen. The groom is the son of Judith and Jose Echaniz of Rochester.

The bride wore a strapless satin gown in diamond white featuring a heavily beaded basque bodice encrusted with bugle beads, miniature sequins and Swarovoski Crystal. The bodice and hemline were trimmed in cafe' satin. The semi-cathedral train was accented with satin buttons and crystals. She carried an arrangement of white and light pink roses decorated with pink accent beads.

The bride's attendants wore a strapped floor length gown with a gather waist accessorized with an Aurora Borealis brooch. Each dress was a different shade of pink.

The maid of honor was Amy Wiederholt, sister of the bride; best man was John Echaniz, brother of the bridegroom.

The reception and dance was held at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen for all friends and family.

The bride received her degree in marketing and public relations from St. Ambrose University, Davenport. The bridegroom received his degree in mathematics with economics from St. Anselm College, Manchester, N.H., and is employed with Ameriprise Financial in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Maria and Matt have made their home in Honolulu, Hawaii.
