Ruth Frances Rembe, 92, of Hermiston, Ore., died Monday, July 24, 2006, at her home in Hermiston.
Ruth Frances Rembe was born at Moville, on Oct. 2, 1913, the daughter of Frank and Carrie Espe Leesley.
Ruth and her husband Louis had lived at Sioux City for 60 years. They were married Nov. 24, 1938 in Elk Point, S.D. They were members of Morningside Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
Ruth had dealt in antiques her whole life. The couple loved to travel to many places. They lived in Hermiston the past five years and attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Rembe of Hermiston, Ore.; daughters, Patricia Grauer of Hermiston and JoAnn Baldwin of Florida; 14 grandchildren 34 great-grandchildren one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Rembe; father, Frank Leesley; mother, Carrie Mae Leesley; three sisters, Doris Coppock, Margerite Jackson and Audrey Brownmiller; and two brothers, Jackie Leesley and Jack Leesley;
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hermiston. Burial will follow in the Hermiston Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Burns Mortuary in Hermiston.
