Michael and Jean Theisen of Marcus announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathryn Jean Theisen, to Thomas Michael Vaske, son of Aloysuis Jr. and Susan Vaske of Remsen.

The couple plan an Aug. 26, 2006, wedding at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus.

Kathryn is a 2002 graduate of Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School. She is employed at Pella Windows in Sioux Center.

Thomas is a 2003 graduate of Remsen St. Mary's High School in Remsen. He is employed at Quality Truck Wash and Service in Le Mars.
