Dr. and Mrs. Alan (Glenda) Knotek of Naperville, Ill., announce the engagement and approaching wedding of their daughter, Julie Alison Knotek, to Jeffrey Roman Staab, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald (Barbara) Staab of Remsen.

Julie, a 2000 Neuqua Valley High School graduate, received a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from the University of Iowa. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher by Hoover Elementary School in West Branch.

Jeffrey, is a 2002 Remsen-Union High School graduate and received a bachelor of accounting degree in 2006 from the University of Iowa's Henry B. Tippe College of Business.

A July 29, 2006, wedding is being planned at Naperville, Ill.
