Virginia R. Swift, 79, of Akron, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at a Sioux City hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Akron. Burial will be at a later date in Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present after 6 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are under the dirction of Carlsen Funeral Home-Schroeder Chapel in Akron.
