Steve and Rosie Loutsch of Remsen announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Karen Loutsch to Jon Behrens, son of Ken and Vickie Behrens of Templeton.

The couple is planning an Aug. 12, 2006, wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen with a reception to follow at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen.

Karen is a 2003 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and is employed as a certified public accountant at McGowen, Hurst, Clark and Smith in West Des Moines.

Jon is a graduate of Iowa State University and is employed as a claims representative at State Farm Insurance in West Des Moines.
