Mike and Rochelle Tentinger of Remsen announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Brittany Tentinger of Clive, to Doug Ruba, the son of Mark and Julie Ruba of Remsen.

The couple is planning a Sept. 2, 2006, wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen, with a reception to follow at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen.

Brittany attends Upper Iowa University majoring in elementary education and is employed at Walnut Hills Elementary in Waukee.

Doug is studying to be a history teacher at Upper Iowa University and currently is working as an optician at the Walmart Vision Center in Ankeny.
