FAIRMONT, Minn. -- Lloyd N. Rolling, 76, of Fairmont, Minn., died Thursday morning, June 22, 2006, at the Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont.
Lloyd Nicklous Rolling was born June 1, 1930, in Le Mars, the son of Leo and Rosalinda (Reistroffer) Rolling. He was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Le Mars and was united in marriage to Mavis Steinfadt on Nov. 29, 1951, in Le Mars. They moved to Fairmont in 1958 where Lloyd worked for Lundquist Construction and was the owner of General Builders. He also worked for Fairmont Cast Stone, Bosshart Construction, Carlstrom Construction and was self-employed as a carpenter until his retirement in 1997.
Lloyd was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont and was a member of the Martin County Conservation Club and a member and officer of the Fairmont Eagle's Club.
Survivors include five daughters, Debra (David) Alm of Fairmont, Minn., Kathy (Tom) Totzke of Fairmont, Minn., Sandra (Dennis) Doolittle of Brainerd, Minn., Mary Sue (Kenneth) Ringeisen of Fairmont, Minn., and Renae (Gordon) Chase of River Falls, Wis.; four sons, Dan (Sheryl) Rolling of Truman, Minn., Randy Rolling of Sheffield, Iowa, Steve Rolling of Port Orchard, Wash., and Keith (Kristie) Rolling of Fairmont, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mark (Helen) Rolling of Kingsley and Jerry (Eileen) Rolling of Le Mars,; one sister, Judy (Pat) Kenaley of Austin, Texas; step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today (Monday) at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
