Vic and Linda Hakim of Clarkston, Mich., announce the engagement of their daughter, Bethany Joy Hakim to Jacob Gary Tillman of Farmington Hills, Mich. He is the son of Gary and Elaine Tillman of Le Mars.

The couple is planning a July 1, 2006, wedding at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Farmington, Mich.

Bethany is a graduate of Clarkston High School and Western Michigan University. She is employed at American Laser Center.

Jacob is a graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and Bellevue University. He is employed at AT&T.
