William Richard Popken-Webb, premature infant son of Matthew Popken and Dr. Dawn Webb made his earthly presence and went to see his heavenly Father on May 20, 2006. William was born at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Survivors include his parents, Matthew Popken and Dr. Dawn Webb of Estherville,; a sister, Mackenzie Popken at home; maternal grandparents, Bob and BernaDeane Webb of Le Mars; paternal grandparents, Sharon and Dan Dugan of Quimby, and Tom Popken of Arizona; maternal great-grandmother, Arlene Kressley of Cedar Falls, and paternal great-grandmother, Regina Popken of Akron; several aunts and uncles, Mitch Webb of Bend, Ore., Austin Webb of Le Mars, April Webb of Le Mars, Tracy Popken of Orange City, and Melissa and Kelly Beltman of Hospers.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with Larry Adler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at Carlsen Funeral Home. Following the services there will be a reception for family and friends in the Carlsen Fellowship Center.

"Our love was just beginning to blossom when our immense joy turned into deep sadness. We will be forever grateful for your support as we seek to find that special place to remember our baby who has died."
