Edwin and Evelyn Oltmanns of Des Moines, announce the engagement of their son, Irwin to Tricia Hittenmiller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hittenmiller, of Dyersville.

The wedding will take place on July 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville.

Tricia received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology at Loras College in Dubuque and a masters of science degree in counseling psychology at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.

Irwin graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in English from Teikyo Westmar University in Le Mars and received a masters of arts degree in English at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D.

Both Tricia and Irwin reside in West Des Moines and are employed at West Central Valley High School in Stuart. Tricia is a guidance counselor and Irwin teaches English. He also is an adjunct professor at Mercy College of Health Sciences and Simpson College.
