Jan and Dennis Meis of Le Mars announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their son, Ryan James Meis of Ames, to Belinda Kaye Gobbel, also of Ames. Belinda is the daughter of Ray William and Kate Gobbel of Swan, Iowa and David and Kathy Blanchette of Jacksonville, Ill.

The wedding will take place Aug. 12, 2006, in Ames.

The future bridegroom is a graduate of Iowa State University and is employed as a personal trainer. The future bride is employed by Lutheran Services in Iowa.
