Wayne W. Brown, 57, of rural Akron, died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at his residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Akron. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Akron.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Thursday with the family present after 5:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Hawarden Community Church in Hawarden. Visitation will resume one hour prior to services Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron.

Arrangements are under the direction of Carlsen Funeral Home-Schroeder Chapel in Akron.
