Shawn Reneé Poeckes/Sailer and Todd Allen Schroeder of Remsen exchanged marriage vows April 19, 2006, at St. Ann Tower Island in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Parents of the couple are Dave and Becky Poeckes and John and Minnie Schroeder, all of Remsen.

The bride carried tropical flowers from the island for her bouquet.

Cynthia Dolezal of Novi, Mich., served as matron of honor.

William Dolezal of Novi, Mich., served as best man.

Shawn is a 1988 graduate of Remsen-Union High School and is manager of the Wal-Mart Portrait Studio in Le Mars.

Todd graduated from Remsen-Union High School in 1986 and is the lead man at Nor-Am Cold Storage in Le Mars.

Following their wedding, the couple spent a week in Jamaica at a couple's resort in Ocho Rios. They are making their home in Remsen.
