Jerry and Carol Braun of Remsen announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Courtney Lyn to Joshua Charles Hill. Joshua is the son of Dean and Kellie Douvia of Remsen and Charles and Vicki Hill of Meriden.

Courtney is a 1998 graduate of Remsen-Union High School and a 2000 graduate of AIB College of Business in Des Moines. She is currently employed with the Chuck Smith State Farm Insurance Agency. She is a licensed insurance agent for the state of Iowa.

Joshua is a 1999 graduate of Remsen-Union High School. He is currently employed at The Waldinger Corporation in Des Moines. He is in his second year of the apprenticeship program with the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 33.

The couple is planning a May 6, 2006, wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen with a reception and dance following at the Avalon Ballroom in Remsen.
