Shannon Kroger and Jared Pals of Canton, S.D., announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Shannon is the daughter of Alan Kroger and Pati Juel-Kroger of Canton, S.D., and Debbie Steele of Hot Springs, S.D. She is a 1999 graduate of Canton High School and a 2001 graduate of Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls. She is employed at PrairieWave Communications in Sioux Falls.

Jared is the son of Randy and Vickie Pals of Ankeny. He is a 1999 graduate of Le Mars Community High SChool and a 2001 graduate of Southeast Tech. He is employed at Pella Windows in Sioux Center.

The couple is planning an April 22, 2006, wedding.
