Michael and LeAnn Wiederholt of Remsen announce the engagement of their daughter, Maria Wiederholt to Matthew Echaniz. Matthew is the son of Jose and Judy Echaniz of Rochester, N.Y.

Maria graduated in 2000 from Remsen St. Mary's High School and in 2004 from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, with a degree in public relations and marketing. She is currently employed as a marketing assistant at the Putnam Museum and IMAX Theatre in Davenport.

Matthew graduated in 1995 from Wilson Magnet High School in Rochester, N.Y. He graduated in 1999 from St. Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., with a degree in mathematics with economics. He is currently a field vice president for Ameriprise Financial in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The wedding will be held at 2 p.m. June 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Remsen. A reception will follow at the Avalon Ballroom, Remsen.

The couple will be residing in Honolulu, Hawaii.
