Terry and Ginger Gries of Merrill announce the engagement of their daughter, Renee Gries, to Scott Persinger, son of Rex and Sarah Persinger of Hornick.

The couple is planning a Nov. 4, 2006, wedding at Wesley Methodist Church in Sioux City.

Renee is an elementary special education teacher at Westwood Schools. Scott is a computer technician at Retail Data Systems.
