James M. "Jim" Hawks, 80, of Akron, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today (Monday) at Carlsen Funeral Home-Schroeder Chapel in Akron with the Rev. Jean Morse of Trinity Luthean Church, E.L.C.A., officiating. Military rites were conducted by American Legion Hoschler Post 186 of Akron. Visitation was Sunday, with the family present at 6 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
