Lee and Lori Mohning of Marcus and Chuck and Beth Peters of Le Mars announce the engagement and approaching marriage on May 6, 2006, of Laurissa Mohning to Kevin Peters, both of Sioux Falls, S.D.

Laurissa is a 2002 graduate of Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn High School. She attended the University of Iowa and Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls where she completed the surgical technology program in 2004. Laurissa is now employed as a surgical technologist at Sioux Valley Hospital and Health Center.

Kevin is a 2002 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School. He attended the University of Iowa and the Avera McKennan School of Radiologic Technology in Sioux Falls, S.D. He graduated in 2005 and is now employed at Avera McKennan Hospital and University Health Center as a registered radiologic technologist in diagnostic imaging.
