David and Judy Renken of Le Mars announce the engagement of their daughter, Beth Renken of Le Mars, to Christopher Diehl of Ankeny. He is the son of Allen Diehl and the late Rosemary Diehl of Ault, Colo.

The couple is planning a July 8, 2006, wedding at 4 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coralville.

Beth is pursuing a doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Iowa. Christopher is pursuing degrees in biochemistry and vocal performance at the University of Iowa.
