Kari Joy Wiltgen and Andy Thomas Schmidt were united in marriage on December 16, 2005, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars. The Rev. Kevin Richter officiated.

Parents are Ron and Cheryl Wiltgen of Le Mars and Russell and Donna Schmidt of Ireton.

Cheri Herbst and Lisa Wiltgen, sisters of the bride, served as matron and maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kari Hemme, Kayla Jiskoot, Julie Huelskamp, Melissa Kline and Barbara Micek. Alexis Wiltgen, Cayla Herbst, and Bally Wiltgen, nieces of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.

Dr. Jon Schmidt and Adam Schmidt served as the best men. Groomsmen were Ryan Wiltgen, Robb Wiltgen, Rik Wiltgen, Erik Wiltgen, and Alex Wiltgen.

Elliotte Herbst, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Izaac Herbst and Cole Wiltgen, nephews of the bride, were ring bearers. Austin Herbst and Blake Wiltgen, nephews of the bride, were altar servers.

Organist was Jan Klein. The violinists were Kevin Orhlund, Kris Orhlund, Kim Orhlund, Thomas Henrich, and Erica Janning. Soloist was Andy Woerderhoff. Lector was Jon Borer.

Seating the wedding guests were Austin Koopmans, Aaron Nielsen, John Beitelspacher, and Jeff Grinstead.

Personal attendants were Jana Hector, Jacque Simpson, Becky Tapper, and Chalsie Quinn.

Kari and Andy are happy to make their home in Le Mars. Kari is a 2005 graduate of Briar Cliff University and is employed at Le Mars Community Middle School. Andy is a 2005 graduate of Bellevue University and is employed at Primebank in Le Mars.
