Mr. and Mrs. Robert Book of rural Akron announce the engagement of their daughter Kellie Book to Christopher Hamel. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hamel of rural Craig, Neb.

The couple is planning a September wedding.

Kellie is a 1998 graduate of Akron-Westfield High School in Akron, and a 2002 graduate of Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Neb. She is employed as a claims adjuster with Applied Underwriters in Omaha, Neb.

Her fiancé is a 1997 graduate of Logan View High School in Hooper, Neb. He is employed in sales and advertising with Hamel Manufacturing, his family's business, in Waterloo, Neb.
