FORT DODGE -- Loretta C. Hansen, 88, of Fort Dodge, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
Loretta C. Fiedler was born Oct. 7, 1917, on the family farm at Oyens. She attended St. Catherine's School in Oyens. On November 23, 1943 she was united in marriage to Cletus Hansen at St. Catherine's Church in Oyens and they established their home on a farm near Oyens. Later they moved to Carroll where they made their home until 1968, when they moved to Fort Dodge.
Loretta was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the Legion of Mary, and the Corpus Christi Ladies Guild.
Surviving is her husband Cletus; sons, Larry and his wife Carol of Mountain Park, Okla., Donald and his wife, Barb of Des Moines, Wally and his wife Annette of Fort Dodge; daughter, Darlene Law and her husband Bruce of Canton, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth (Masuen) Fiedler; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge with Rev. Lynn Bruch officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today (Monday) at the funeral home, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Legion of Mary Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a vigil at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
