St. Mary's Catholic Church in Osmond, Neb., was the setting for the Nov. 26, 2005, wedding of Rebecca Heuertz and Gene Kerber of Pierce, Neb.

The Rev. John Andrews officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Linda Heuertz of Le Mars. The bridegroom is the son of Gerry Kerber of Pierce and the late Edward Kerber.

Susan Ashenfelter was flutist, with Harold Scott as pianist. Amy Moes was the soloist.

Jared Martin and Jordan Martin, nephew and niece of the bridegroom, were candlelighters.

Melinda Jenson was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Heuertz, sister of the bride, Emily Ashenfelter and Jami Hansen. Paige Kerber, niece of the bridegroom, was flowergirl.

Tammy Martin, sister of the bridegroom, was the bride's personal attendant.

Jason Kerber, brother of the bride, was best man. Groomsmen were Chris Luebe and Steve Ussery, and Jared Wragge, cousin of the bridegroom. The ringbearer was Devin Kerber, nephew of the bridegroom.

Servers were Emily Schmit and Christopher Schmit, students of the bride. Lectors were Rachel Heuertz, sister of the bride, Tiffany Guenther, and Tammy Martin, sister of the bridegroom.

Seating the wedding guests were Chris Heuertz and Nick Heuertz, brother sof the bride, Scott Martin, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Brent Wragge, cousin of the bridegroom.

Folllowing the ceremony, the reception was held at Osmond City Auditorium.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2001 graduate of Morningside College in Sioux City. She is the first and second grade teacher at St. Mary's School in Osmond.

The bridegroom graduated from Pierce High School in 1989 and from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, Neb., in 1991. He is employed at Goodyear in Norfolk.

The couple will take a wedding trip this summer and now reside in Pierce.
