Anthony J. Kosse, 83, of Hillsboro, Ore., and a Le Mars native, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006.

Mr. Kosse was born July 23, 1922, in Le Mars. He moved to Portland, Ore., in 1952 and was a furniture mover and truck driver for Lyons Van & Storage for 26 years. He moved to Hillsboro, Oregon in 1980.

In 1951, he married Lois M. Heyl of Akron, Iowa; they divorced. He married Eunice Howard of Hillsboro in 1983; she died in 2001.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Mehling, Milwaukie, Ore.; sons Larry of Beaverton, Ore., Mark of Bend, Ore. and David of London, England; seven grandchildren: Laurie Giansante, Ginnie, John, Allison, Madeline, Eliza and Alice Kosse and one great-grandchild, Wynter Rose Sutter.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Jan. 28.
