Ellen Thome of Osage, and Eric Grabe of Kingsley, exchanged marriage vows in a 2 p.m. double ring ceremony July 30, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, with Father Moser as the officiant.

Parents of the couple are Tom and Karen Thome of Osage,, and Mike and Julie Grabe of Kingsley.

Emily Behrens of West Des Moines, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Kristen Hanson, Des Moines; Vicky Smith, Cedar Rapids; and Jenni Thome, Urbana, Ill., were bridesmaids.

Best man was Garret Riordan of Cedar Falls. Groomsmen were Jeff Grabe, Clive; Jon Grabe, Kingsley; and Eric Thome, Urbana, Ill.

Seating the guests were Matt Behrens, West Des Moines and Jon Dahlke, Goldfield.

Flower girl was Madison Sossa, and ringbearer was Jack Grabe.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the KC Hall in Osage.

Ellen graduated from Osage Community High School in 2000, and the University of Northern Iowa in 2005. She is employed at Newton Community Schools as a K-3 special education teacher.

Eric graduated from Kingsley-Pierson Community High School in 2000, and the University of Northern Iowa in 2005. He is employed with Colfax-Mingo Community Schools as a high school biology teacher.

Following their wedding trip to Estes Park and Denver, Colo., the couple is at home in Newton.
