Mia Rose Murphy and Gabriel Tardive were united in marriage at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars on July 30, 2005. The Rev. James Tigges officiated at the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Patrick and Kathryn Murphy of Le Mars and Gabriel and Dolores Tardive of Netcong, N.J.

Matron of honor was Megan Dirksen, sister of the bride, of Le Mars. Bridesmaids were Desireé Tardive, sister of the bridegroom, of Netcong, N.J., Melanie Brau of West Des Moines, and Jen Noeller of Iowa City.

Best man was Chad Eckert of Succasunna, N.J. The groomsmen were Mike Murphy, brother of the bride, of West Des Moines, Brad Dirksen, brother-in-law of the bride, of Le Mars, and Nick Farnsworth of Landing, N.J.

Seating the wedding guests were Matt Rohlfsen of Omaha, Neb., and Pat Zahourek of Sioux City.

The flower girl was Brenna Dirksen, niece of the bride. Blake Dirksen, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. Both are from Le Mars.

A reception, dinner and dance were held at the Le Mars Convention Center following the ceremony.

Mia is a 1996 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor of science degree in education. She is a 2002 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a master of science in speech and language pathology. Mia is employed with the Omaha Public Schools.

Gabriel is a 1996 graduate of Roxbury High School. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2001 with a bachelor of science in education. He is employed with the Lewis Central School District in Council Bluffs.

Following a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is at home in Omaha, Neb.
