Teresa Shostak of Le Mars and Alexander Abram of Gdansk, Poland, were united in marriage Aug. 6, 2005, in a double ring ceremony at St. John's Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Le Mars. The Rev. Gary Landsness and Pastor Mary Wilber officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Bruce and Barbara Shostak of Le Mars and Jerzy and Maria Abram of Gdansk, Poland.

Teresa is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, with a double major in upper elementary and middle school education and a minor in special education. She is student teaching in Chicago.

Alexander is also a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and earned his master's degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He is employed with the Chicago Board of Trade in Chicago.

The couple is making their home in Chicago.
