BRANDON, S.D. ~ Clarence A. Embrock, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Good Samaritan Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Clarence August Embrock, son of August and Carrie (Albright) Embrock, was born on the family farm on Aug. 5, 1918, at Tea, S.D. When he was a young child, the family moved near Hudson, S.D., where he attended school in Hudson.
Clarence was united in marriage with Mildred B. Nelson Nov. 30, 1940, at Hawarden,. He worked as a crop and livestock farmer in the Hudson/Alcester area for 60 years. They retired to Le Mars, where they lived for 15 years before moving to Brandon in 2003.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 65 years, Mildred Embrock, Brandon, S.D.; two children, Beverly (Larry) Harrington, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Orville (Sally) Embrock, Alcester, S.D.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Annie Cramer, Lennox, S.D.; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Embrock; and one sister, Marie Soryle.
Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at George Boom Funeral Home with interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Hudson, S.D. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. to greet friends.
