ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Robert J. Glaser, 81, of St. Paul, Minn., and a Le Mars native, died Nov. 11, 2005, at St. Paul.
Robert J. Glaser was born May 5, 1924, in Le Mars, the son of Frank and Hattie (McDougall) Glaser. He graduated from Le Mars High School, attended Westmar College in Le Mars, and the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, where he received his master's degree.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-45 in Europe. He married Shirley Holdren in June 1950. Bob taught chemistry, math, geology and astronomy for years until 1990.
In 1996, Bob suffered a stroke, but never lost faith in God.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Shirley; three daughters, Susan, Elizabeth and Margaret; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Chester Glaser and his wife, Eleanor, and a number of McDougall cousins in the Le Mars area.
Funeral services were held Nov. 16 at St. Paul Central Baptist Church, with interment in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
