Michael and Linda Heuertz of Le Mars, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Rebecca Heuertz to Gene Kerber, both of Pierce, Neb. Gene is the son of Gerry and the late Edward Kerber, also of Pierce, Neb.

The couple is planning a Nov. 26, 2005, wedding.

Rebecca is a 1997 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 2001 graduate of Morningside College. Rebecca is an elementary teacher at St. Mary's Catholic School in Osmond, Neb.

Gene is a 1989 graduate of Pierce High School and a 1991 graduate of Northeast Community College. Gene is employed at Goodyear in Norfolk, Neb.
