HUDSON, S.D. -- Colman Lund, 84, of Hudson, S.D., died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Colman was born April 14, 1921, to Otto and Anna (Lukken) Lund in rural Fairview, S.D. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Colman was united in marriage to Alice Lindstedt on Nov. 30, 1951, at Fairview Lutheran Church. Together they farmed near Fairview. Alice died on Dec. 31, 1979.
Colman married Borghild "Bo" Johnson on June 17, 1983, at Hudson Lutheran Church.
Colman is survived by his son, Dale (Joan) Lund of Canton, S.D.; daughters, Carol (Gerben) De Jong of Hull, and Corlis (Joel) Groeneweg of Doon; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Frank Twedt of Canton, S.D.
He was preceded in death by two wives: Alice and Bo; parents; brother, Obel Lund; sisters, Lela Twedt and Gladys Sanderson.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at Hudson Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, Fairview, S.D. The Rev.Mary Fast will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 8 p.m. at the church. The Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley is in charge of arrangements.
