HUDSON, S.D. -- Borghild "Bo" Lund, 81, of Hudson, S.D., died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at Hudson Health Care Center.
Bo was born May 9, 1924, to Nels and Myrtle (McConnel) Homandberg in rural Canton, S.D. She was united in marriage to Clarence Johnson on June 11, 1943, in Dakota City, Neb. Together they lived in rural Fairview, S.D., until moving to Hudson in 1959. Bo was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting. Clarence died Sept. 8, 1978.
Bo was united in marriage to Colman Lund on June 17, 1983 at Hudson Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her sons, Dick (Cindy) Johnson of Colton, S.D., Stuart Johnson of Hawarden, and Joseph (Janet) Johnson of Hawarden; daughters, Jane (Gary) Sherman of Le Mars, Deloris Ford of Sioux City, and Sue Olseth and her special friend, Doug Claus of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer (Wava) Homandberg of Alcester, S.D.; sisters: Norma Vandemore of Hudson, S.D., and Nila Miller of Beresford, S.D.; and a sister-in-law, Dee Homandberg of Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; son, Jeffry Johnson; sister, Helen Snedeker; brother, John Homandberg.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hudson Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Eden Cemetery, Hudson. The Rev. Mary Fast will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 8 p.m. at the Hudson Lutheran Church. The Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley is in charge of arrangements.
