Joseph and Jo Ann Block of Le Mars and Bob and Kathy Pilling of Phoenix, Ariz., announce the approaching marriage of their children Janna Block and John Pilling of Phoenix.

The couple is planning a Nov. 4, 2005, wedding at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars.

Janna is a graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and a graduate of University of South Dakota, Vermillion, S.D., with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice. She is currently employed as a police officer with the Phoenix Police Department.

John is a graduate of Omaha Westside and a former University of South Dakota student. He is currently employed as a Detention Officer with the Maricopa County Sherriff's Department.
