Johnson - Ridge

Katy Johnson of Clarinda and Matt Ridge of Long Grove were united in marriage on July 2, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Clarinda. The Rev. Gary Jaeckle officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Carl and Joann Johnson of Le Mars and Larry and Gaylle Ridge of Long Grove. Special guests were the bride's grandparents, Norman and Ruth Barker of Le Mars.

Providing music were organist Linda Krueger and soloist Sharon Good.

Greta Johnson of Le Mars, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kendra Wendt of Waukee, Kari Kopperud of Forest City and Sharon Good of Iowa City.

Randy Ewoldt served as best man. Groomsmen were Aaron Weibel, Jonathon Reeves and Austin Martin.

Seating the wedding guests were Ben Johnson, brother of the bride, Jesse Sheedy, Nate Byrd and Jeff Guillotte.

The reception was held at Wibholm Hall in Clarinda.

Katy is a 1999 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and 2003 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. She is employed as an elementary music teacher at Clarinda Community Schools.

Matt is a 1999 graduate of North Scott Community Schools, and a 2005 graduate of Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He is employed at Lloyd Inc. in Shenandoah.

Following a wedding trip to Chicago, the couple is at home in Clarinda.
