Laura Marilyn Konz and Joshua Lee Sievers were united in marriage at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, on June 4, 2005. The Rev. James Tigges officiated the 2 p.m. double ring ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Karen and Gary Konz of Le Mars and Penny and Brian Sievers of Storm Lake. Grandparents of the couple are Esther and the late Bernard Pottebaum of Remsen, Esther and the late Leonard Konz of Alton, Marcene and Terry Johnson of Essex, and Marion and the late I.W. Sievers of Storm Lake.

Matron of honor was Jodi Moir, sister of the bride, of Le Mars. Bridesmaids were Angela Ruden, of Nevada and Ali Smith of Ames. Bell ringers were Bailey Campin, cousin of the groom, of Cresent, Marisa Konz and Melissa Schmit, cousins of the bride, of Alton. Honorary flower-puppy was Jaleb, daughter of the couple.

Best man was Cory Sievers, brother of the bridegroom, of Ames. Groomsmen were Seth Smith of Nemaha and Jeff Konz, brother of the bride, of Bismarck, N.D. Ring bearer was Jacob Konz, nephew of the bride, of Lombard, Ill.

Ushers were Jason Konz, brother of the bride, of Lombard, Ill., and Lyle Rossiter of Newell.

Scripture readings were read by Chris Gianopoulos, cousin of the bride, of Alton. Servers of the ceremony were Shane and Austin Schmit, cousins of the bride, of Alton.

A reception dinner and dance was held immediately following the ceremony at the Le Mars Convention Center.

The couple resides in Alton, where Laura is an engineer for the Iowa DOT Construction Office in Sioux City and Josh is a research specialist for the Iowa State Northwest Research Farm in Sutherland.
