Kari Joy Wiltgen of Le Mars and Andy Thomas Schmidt of Ireton, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The couple is planning a 6 p.m. ceremony on Friday, Dec. 16, 2005, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars. A reception will follow at the upper level of the Le Mars Convention Center.

Kari is the daughter of Ron and Cheryl Wiltgen of Le Mars and Andy is the son of Russell and Donna Schmidt of Ireton.

Kari is a 2001 graduate of Gehlen Catholic High School and received her degree in education from Briar University in May 2005. She is employed at Le Mars Community Middle School.

Andy is a 2000 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and received his degree in marketing management from Bellevue University in August 2005. He is currently employed at Primebank in Le Mars.
