Doug and Edie Prewitt of Merrill announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Jessica Ann, to Anthony Charles Emerson of Rochester, Minn. He is the son of Charlie and JoAnn Emerson of Marathon, Wis.

The couple will be married Sept. 17, 2005, in a 2 p.m. ceremony at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Ellendale, rural Merrill. The reception will follow at the Le Mars Convention Center.

Jessica earned her bachelor of science degree in radiology from the University of Sioux Falls in 2001, and a masters of physicians assistant degree from Des Moines University in 2005. She will begin her work in orthopedics at Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, in October.

Anthony earned his bachelor of science degree in business in 1999 from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and is currently an American Family Insurance agent in Rochester.
