MCPHERSON, Kan. -- Robert Wayne Birkes 42, McPherson, Kan., and a former Le Mars resident died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005.

He was an oil field pipeline construction worker.

Survivors include his mother, Connie Birkes of McPherson, Kan., and two brothers, Michael Birkes of McPherson and Chris Birkes and wife, Nicci of Roxbury, Kan.

Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 26, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson, Kan., with burial at Andover Church Cemetery, rural Windom, Kan.
