Tara Kay Utesch and Michael Andrew Cruz were united in marriage on July 16, 2005, at Doty Park in Neenah, Wis. Michael Cotton performed the double-ring ceremony at 4 p.m.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Jan Utesch of Le Mars. The bridegroom is the son of Luis and Patricia Cruz of Davenport.

The bride wore an ivory spaghetti-strap ball gown by MonCheri. Her veil was ivory tulle with satin piping and pearl accents.

The bride's best man was her brother, Robb Utesch, of Denver, Colo. The bridesmaid was Susan Doorenbos Butz of Osseo, Minn.

The groom's maid of honor was Faun Robken of Sedona, Ariz. The groomsman was Gerry Haan of Davenport.

The flower girl was Kalynn Bender, niece of the bridegroom. The ringbearer was Leo Haan.

Ushers were Racquel Cruz, sister of the bridegroom, and Tony Hakes, cousin of the bride.

The prelude, processional and recessional were performed by "Wisconsin Strings." Vocal selections were provided by Molly and Dick Hakes and by John Sadowski.

A reception and dance followed at the Appleton Paper Valley Radisson in Appleton, Wis.

The bride is an Iowa State University graduate and is employed as a chemical engineer at Bemis in OshKosh, Wis. The groom is currently a student at University of Wisconsin, Fox Valley.

After a wedding trip to Paris, France, the couple will reside in Appleton, Wis.
