The engagement of Desirae Jean DeRocher of Akron and Austin Charles Willms, also of Akron, is announced by their parents, Dale and Deb DeRocher and Randy Willms and Mary Willms.

Desirae is a 2002 graduate of Akron-Westfield High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in business administration-finance from Wayne State College in 2005. Desirae is currently employed as a personal banking representative at First National Bank.

Austin is a 1999 graduate of Akron-Westfield High School. He is self-employed as a farmer and owns his own repair shop.

A Sept. 3, 2005, wedding is planned at the United Methodist Church in Hinton. The couple plans to make their home in West Akron, S.D.
