Kristina Carlson and Matthew Staab, both of Iowa City, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Kristina is the daughter of Doug and Jan Carlson of Creston. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in journalism and mass communication and English. She is currently employed at Target.

Matthew is the son of Jerry and Barb Staab of Remsen. He is a student at the University of Iowa and is currently employed at Cambus.

The couple will be married July 23, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen.
