IRETON -- John D. Van Wyk, 62, of rural Ireton, died suddenly Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Sioux Center Community Hospital in Sioux Center.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton, with the Rev. Jeff Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Bertram Post 276. Visitation will begin at noon today (Thursday), with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Porter Funeral Home in Ireton.
