Dan and Rosie Kunkel of Remsen announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah to John Roberts, son of Danny and Michelle Roberts of Des Moines.

The couple is planning a July 30, 2005, wedding at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen.

Sarah is a 2001 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Remsen. She received a bachelor's degree in leadership communication from Buena Vista University in 2005, and currently works at Buena Vista University as a resident hall director.

John is a 2001 graduate of Hoover High School in Des Moines. He received a bachelor's degree in art from Buena Vista University and will be continuing his education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Calif.
