Parents of the couple are Bart and Gin Vogel of Fairbank and Butch and Florence Thiel of Le Mars. The bride is the granddaughter of Richard and Mary Vogel and Ray Youngblut, all of Jesup. The bridebridegroom is the grandson of Lucille Thiel of Remsen.
Nuptial music was provided by organist Kelly Rohlfsen and soloist Todd Rohlfsen. Lector was Bob Kommes, cousin of the bridegroom.
Maid of honor was Angela Vogel, sister of the bride, of Fairbank. Bridesmaids were Kari Fox of Lees Summit, Mo.; Yves Zachar, cousin of the bride, of Solon; Sarah Slack of Milwaukee, Wis.; and Denise Spieler, cousin of the bridegroom, of Le Mars. Flowergirl was Abby Vogel, goddaughter of the bride, of West Des Moines.
Best man was Mitch Thiel, brother of the bridegroom, of Omaha. Groomsmen were Matt Thiel, brother of the bridegroom, of Omaha; Andy Thiel, brother of the bridegroom, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Brett Vogel, brother of the bride, of Fairbank; and Paul Zachar of Solon.
Seating guests were Calvin Vogel, brother of the bride, of Fairbank; Devin Kass, cousin of the bride, of Solon; Tim Hoey of Atascocita, Texas; and Andy Summers, of Flower Mound, Texas.
A dinner reception followed at the St. Athansius Catholic School gymnasium. A dance was held at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in Waterloo.
Jenny is a 1998 graduate of Jesup High School. She earned her bachelor of arts degree in English from Mount Mercy College in 2001 and her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2004. She is an attorney for Berens & Tate, P.C. law firm in Omaha.
Chris is a 1989 graduate of Le Mars Gehlen Catholic High School and a 1993 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. He is currently the division controller at Nebraska Boiler in Lincoln, NE.
The couple spent a week in Jamaica following their wedding. They reside in Omaha.
