Ralph and Charlene Kruse of Le Mars announce the engagement of their daughter, Danielle Christine of Mankato, Minn., to Michael Richard Scheff, of Mankato. He is the son of Janet Scheff of Ringsted and David and Rita Scheff of St. Peter, Minn.

The couple is planning an Aug. 13, 2005, wedding at Christ Lutheran Church, rural Le Mars, with a reception and dance to follow at the American Legion Hall in Brunsville.

Danielle is a 1995 graduate of Le Mars Community High School and a 1999 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is employed by The Creative Company in Mankato.

Michael is a 1990 graduate of Fairmont, Minn., High School, and is employed by All American Foods in Mankato.
