Lori Cardwell and Chad Tanner announce their engagement and upcoming Sept. 9, 2005, wedding at Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Sioux City.

The bride-elect, daughter of Ron and Alice Cardwell of Sioux City, is a 1994 graduate of Bishop Heelan Catholic High School and a 1996 graduate of Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City. She is a dispatcher for Guntren Express in Le Mars.

Her fiancé is the grandson of Nathan and Beverly Tanner of Kingsville, Ohio, and the son of Deb Fredrick of New Milford, Conn., and the late Brian Tanner. He is a 1994 graduate of Edgewood Senior High School in Ashtabula, Ohio, and a 1996 graduated of Wyoming Tech in Laramie, Wyo. He is a self-employed independent truck driver of Hinton.
