Cathy Marie Weiler and Andrew Peter McKean of Ames announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Parents of the couple are Pauline Weiler of Le Mars and the late David Weiler and Peter and Mary Mckean of Bradford, Ill.

The couple is plannine at June 4, 2005, wedding at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Bradford, Ill.

Cathy graduated from Iowa State University in December 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in child and family services.

Andrew will graduate from Iowa State University in August 2005 with a masters degree in mechanical engineering.
